Blum’s AVENTOS HF top is a bi-fold lift system for high and mid-height wall cabinets, designed to provide convenient access while giving furniture designers greater flexibility in cabinet-front design. Suitable for kitchens, bedrooms and other living spaces, the system allows two-part fronts to fold upwards and remain in position when open, keeping the cabinet opening clear during use.
Unlike conventional hinged doors, which swing outwards into the surrounding space, the AVENTOS HF top mechanism guides the front upwards, folding it at the center. Integrated BLUMOTION provides soft, quiet closing, while optional SERVO-DRIVE electrical opening supports touch-operated access for handleless cabinetry. The system combines these functions with a design intended to integrate discreetly within the cabinet.
AVENTOS HF top accommodates cabinet heights from 480 to 1,200 mm and widths of up to 1,800 mm, with an internal cabinet depth of 264 mm required for installation. An integrated opening-angle stop allows the movement to be adjusted where ceiling height or a bulkhead limits clearance, helping prevent the raised front from striking surrounding surfaces. The system can also be used in worktop-mounted applications, extending its use beyond conventional overhead storage.
The lift mechanism supports a range of cabinet-front materials and configurations, including wooden fronts, aluminum-framed profiles and combinations of different materials across the two sections. Asymmetrical front arrangements are also possible, giving designers additional scope to coordinate cabinetry with the material palette and proportions of an interior. Cover caps are available in silk white, light gray and dark gray.
For manufacturers and installers, Blum has incorporated adjustment features intended to simplify fitting and front alignment. The company states that its AVENTOS top lift systems undergo testing for more than 80,000 opening and closing cycles, alongside checks for stability and load performance.
With its upward-folding front, adjustable opening angle and compatibility with varied cabinet materials, AVENTOS HF top offers an alternative to conventional hinged wall cabinets, combining practical access with flexibility in fitted-furniture design.
